Even before hearing about (*fanning myself*) Michael Arden's upcoming BAREing, I always wanted an intimate scene between Peter & Jason....maybe with them waking up in bed after a night of....you know. But the set of their room currently doesn't have a bed - only a desk - so that wouldn't be practical.
Maybe a scene where Jason and a blushing Peter enter shirtless (the inference is that they....you know) and move towards the desk, and Jason helps Peter button up his shirt? I've always found helping someone dress (buttoning up his shirt, tying his tie) incredibly sexy, and deliciously romantic.
BlueWizard has definitely been thinking...
Anyway, they need a scene together, I think it'd be so perfect. Agreed about the buttoning up thing, it is incredibly sexy and romantic. That is a great idea BlueWizard. Michael said in that interview that they've been adding onto the relationship, so maybe more moments will be made.

one of the things SO prevelent in bare is mirroring... peter and jason's actions being mirrired between best kept secret and the title song...... quenn mab mirroring the entire storyline in one minute flat......
I think they need a peter/jason scene that mirros the physical staging of teh act one finale... though it should be more tender and have more emotional value....
I'm not following the Queen Mab one.....can you explain a little bit??

During the performance of Romeo and Juliet......
jason takes drug just before the curtain goes up and he starts to feel teh effects during R&J's Queen mab scene. Peter is performing teh queen mab soliloquy and jason starts to feel teh effects and the company performs a choreogrpahed number around them, as though they were in Jason's mind, that replays the entire storyline through stylized choreogrpahy and symbolism.. and foreshadows things yet to come in the story. it's a GREAT sequence.

Yeah... It's a great sequence
The queen Mab speech is all about dreams and such.. so it fits.
Still don't agree with you Copeman63. Oh well...
Yeah... It's a great sequence The queen Mab speech is all about dreams and such.. so it fits.
It's also beautifully choreographed - the ensemble pulling silk streamers out from Jason/Romeo's body, like spider webs but with a violently poetic touch. And the melody to "Queen Mab" is gorgeous too. It's one of my favourite scenes in the show.

**BG2 interjects**
John Hill and Joe Machota both have INCREDIBLE bodies... and incredible personalities too...
Nice of you to FINALLY interject, but you didn't answer the question. Ugh!

I honestly couldn't pick one.. they both are amazing. I consider them like apples and oranges.... :-/
Exactly my point. Apples and oranges.

I think mirroring the act 1 ending would be a mistake because of the motive behind that moment. Jason is doing that in an attempt to prove himself to her, and him. He was just called a fa**ot in the fight sequence and needed to be the manly jock. If there is to be intimacy with Peter, it should be just that. No need for Michael to get naked. I think the fact that you dont totally think their relationship is based on sex helps the story, and helps you believe it in act 2 when they are both getting so desperate in their own plot lines. A naked scene would be shock value to sell tickets and I hate to see that happen to this show. Go ahead, eat me alive!
I don't think Michael is getting naked (much as my mouth is salivating at the thought of it). I'm thinking a shirtless scene or something.
I also like how Peter and Jason's relationship seems "purer" because so little sex is shown; although there are sexual references shared between the two of them, their attraction seems to be governed solely by emotion. Jason and Ivy, on the other hand, go and do the nasty on Peter's desk (!!!) - with a hitched up dress, no less - giving it a tainted feel.
Still, I think the buttoning-up idea is cute and expresses the intimacy between the two of them without getting gratuitous.
I don't necessarily think they have to have a sex scene on stage, but I do believe Peter/Jason need to have more alone time on stage where they're not at odds. I think the only time they're alone on stage and not angsting at each other is the small snippet regarding wearing the shirt that night to the rave. Otherwise it's people surrounding them, or some sort of mini-emotional crisis at all times.
The "well locked dorm room" has to come into play, IMO and that doesn't have to mean shirts off, pants off and feet in the air... but something/anything where the promise of what goes on between them alone at night from You and I (and also Best Kept Secret) is shown.
I completely agree Trisky. That's why I love that T-shirt moment all the more - it's the only one. Plus, that's one hot kiss between the two of them.

producers... I don't mean exactly mirroring it with Peter naked and same staginga nd such such.. I just mean that there should be a scene with Peter seated on the desk and jason there.. it doesn't HAVE to be sex or nude or anything... just an intimate moment to create a small 'echo'.... and the dorm DOES need to be established more as THEIR sanctuary.
