I've been debating it, but I finally convinced myself to see Bare. I'm overjoyed that I did. Completely fell in love with it. Needs a bit of reworking - but I loved it.

Anyways...I received a free Sampler - just wondering if they plan to release a cast album - or a more complete recording of sorts?

When I was there I asked the house manager and several cast members about that and all said that a full CD of the show was likely after they reopen this fall.

Yes YES YES! More people have discovered this amazing show.

They will be opening at the brand new Dodger Theatre Complex this September.. the 21st to be exact.

I just hope the show doesn't lose much... the theatre space is soo mucha part of the experience with bare.

I saw Bare twice last week (Thursday and Saturday nights) and LOVED it! (Particularly Thursday night, since Saturday night was boiling hot and the amazing cast had already done a matinee under that intense heat, I don't know how they did it.)

I was actually surprised by how strong the show was - people who loved it said that it was a bit rough around the edges, but it was surprisingly smooth to me. I was also surprised by how emotionally intense it was. There were some heart-stopping moments that reaffirmed this show as something special.

I'm really happy Bare will continue its life in September, but I hope that they keep the same cast, which for me was the best part of the show. Michael Arden in particular gave one of the best performances I've ever seen. I had the pleasure of sitting front row on both nights, and I was completely mesmerized by him - he was so immersed in his character that every movement and flinch was so exact, so subtle, and so meaningful. Plus, he has a stunningly beautiful voice!

Although the intimacy of the theatre is definitely an asset to this show, I hope it gets more coverage when it comes back in September, because it's the type of show that people can fall in love with. I also hope a full cast recording comes out soon - I love the CD sampler (especially since it's free!, though I would have paid for it anyway), and I'm glad that I now have a copy of some of these great songs, but other amazing songs aren't on the sampler, and I want to listen to them too!
