BARE seating

Is anyone familiar with the seating at Dodgers Stages Theatre 1 where BARE will be playing? Is the first row (A) of the orchestra too close to the stage? Are you right on top of the stage? Do you think I'd be better off with 6th Row (F) orchestra seats? It appears as though the 6th row at this theatre is set back and seperated from the first five rows. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

re: BARE seating

The seating at Dodgers is confuzzling me too. In fact, the seating chart on their site doesn't even match up with the Telecharge seating chart so I'm not sure what to think.

According to Telecharge row A is the first row but then someone told me that the first two rows were going to be rush seats.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was told that that first two rows will be rush...

Yeah, I was told that too but then why doesn't Telecharge reflect that? That's kind of annoying.

re: BARE seating

Well... since the seating config at Dodgers is confusing, then let me pose my question this way... For anyone who has already seen the show, would you consider the first row of the orchestra too close? Do you think I'd be better off with 6th row seats? I like to be close up but for some shows it's better to sit further back. Again, any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

re: BARE seating

Bare was at a different theater when it was running earlier this year. I might be wrong but I think this is the first show to play at Dodger Stage

re: BARE seating

I saw the show from first row and thought it was great. I loved being able to see every facial expression and tear from the actors on stage. But I'm never one to think I'm ever "too close" so I'm not sure if I'm the right person to ask.

IMO, as nice as it is to see the actors up close, it might be better to be say 3 rows back, because if the staging remains the same, then there are a bunch of points when the actors are running up sets of stairs and onto a catwalk. There's one song that's done entirely up on the catwalk, which you kind of have to crane your neck to see if you're front row.

Oh Trisky but you never like being in the first row even if there's no staging to speak of like "It's Only Life"! :P

re: BARE seating

I know, I'm freakish like that! I find it weird to have actors staring me right in the eyeball as they're performing...

But seriously, there was a bit of craning during Best Kept Secret that I think I would have loved to have seen from a few rows back.

re: BARE seating

OK. I'm sold. I made my decision. The choice was between 1st row or 6th row. I decided on the 1st row. Thanks to all for your feedback. I'm really looking forward to seeing the show!
