Anyone going tonight? I wish I could go. Would love to see some reviews here later! It's a really good season of shows.

Me too. Can't wait for the Kudisch, James and Edelman song. Here's hoping Julia Murney sings "What Did I Have That I Don't Have."

This was my first BBTY concert, and so I have nothing to compare it with. But, first, the show seemed extremely long because there was a lot of commentary between each song (much of it which was unnecessary, IMO). I thought most of the performances were good, but I was only really impressed with a couple of them, namely Julia Murney belting the h*** out of Aldonza, the charming and amazingly talented tap-dancing Kendrick Jones, and the ever-consistant Marc Kudish.

Song list (not in the right order, but from the playbill:
From Do I hear a Waltz?
-I hear a waltz? - Gregg Edelman
-Take a moment - Marc Kudish
-We're gonna be all right - Brandon Cutrell and Julie Reyburn
From Drat the Cat
- She touched Me - Brian D'arcy James
From Flora the red menace
- A quiet thing - Julia Murney
- Sing happy - Julia Murney
From La grosse valise
- Delilah done me wrong - Marc Kudish
- Slippy sloppy shoes - Kendrick Jones
From Man of la mancha
- Man of la mancha - Marc Kudish (playing guitar)
- Aldonza - Julia Murney
- It's all the same - Shannon Lewis and dancers
- The Impossible Dream - Marc Kudish and company
From on a clear day
- on a clear day - Julia Murney
- Come back to me - David Eggers, Kevin Worley, Austin Eyer, Stuart Capps, Eric Santagada
- What did I have I don't have now - Julie Reyburn
From Pickwick
- If I ruled the world - Gregg Edelman
From The roar of the greasepaint...
- Look at that face - Brian d'arcy James, Gregg Edelman, Marc Kudish
- A Wonderful Day like today - Lorin Latarro, Melinda Sullivan, Shannon Lewis
- Who can I turn to - Brian d'arcy James
- Feeling good - Julie Reyburn
- Nothing can stop me now - Brian d'arcy James
- The Joker - Gregg Edelman
From Skyscraper
- Everybody has the right to be wrong - Gregg Edelman
- Opposites - Kendrick Jones and Melinda Sullivan
From The Yearling
- Why did I chose you - Gregg Edelman

I had never seen Greg Edelman before tonight, and I thought he was fantastic as well.

Another note, why does the audience applaud well before the end of a song. For example, many of the songs ended with a sustained (often gorgeous) note at the end for maybe 5-10 sec, and audience always started clapping after the first 3 sec, thus ruining the end of the song. Annoying!

I'll comment more tomorrow, but I'm tired now.

Scott Siegel needs to learn to shut up in between performances.

People didn't pay to see him recite monotone tidbits from note cards.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Brian's "Who Can I Turn To" had me in tears. Off-mic and absolutely beautiful!

He's one of the reasons that these concerts are so special, I love everything he has to say.
