Before you jump all over me for posting a thread that's already on the OT board hear me out.
I've been detailing the ups and downs of being on the Marvelous Wonderettes fund raising team in a thread on the OT board. Updating it every time I got a donation. I've been very excited about the process I've been making.
But I've also talked a bit about some of the lows that have come along with the highs. The closed-mindedness and the sheer foolishness of people. And something happened today that shocked me into action and made me decide to start a thread on the main board.
It seems someone is telling people around me to NOT donate to BC/EFA because it's a dirty organization. They help actors who should have other jobs anyway. And they keep people with AIDS alive.
I was so angry by these comments. They are truly the words of someone who has no clue at all. Rather than slowing me down these comments have INFURIATED me and have led me to want to reach my goals even more.
So now I bring this to you. Help me fight against those small-minded fools. Together we can be the bigger people and show that love and compassion can win over hate and prejudice any day.
I have a goal that I am close to but what happened today has me wanting to simply blow that goal out of the water and leave everyone in my dust. But, to do that, I need you.
Please, help us all triumph over those who are not as fortunate as we are. Those who do not have our ability to love and care.
