A lot of shows will sell cast signed window cards after the performance with the proceeds going to BC-EFA.
Does anyone know if this typically happens all year and if not when it typically occurs?

Posted: 8/16/05 at 9:22amI'm always in NYC in the early spring and this is when I get my posters. Be prepared to pay tho... IIRC, Annie Get Your Gun - Bernadette and Tom - was priced at $200.

Oh wow, they've jacked them up to $200?
When I bought my OBC Rent card back in 1996 it was only $100.
Although, I suppose that was nearly 10 years ago.

Posted: 8/16/05 at 10:19amI think The Producers was the only show that charged more than $100 and obviosuly Annie Get Your Gun as previously stated. Even Wicked only charges $75 now.

Excellent. Here's hoping I can at least pick up Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Piazza (though the OBC is highly unlikely) when I am in New York.
Now, to expand the thread...
What signed window cards do you have hanging in your room/apartment/house?
I have:
Rent (OBC)
Rent (Original Benny Tour Company)
Tick Tick Boom (OBC)
Assassins (Broadway)
Guys and Dolls (1994 Broadway Revival Company)
I also have a very nice signed program from the Damn Yankees revival and countless signed playbills.

Posted: 8/16/05 at 10:36amI only have a few that are signed by every member of the cast, but signed posters that have 7+ signatures on them are Little Women, Bklyn, Spelling Bee, All Shook Up, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, La Cage aux Folles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Spamalot, Hairspray, and Rent.

Wow, that's quite an impressive collection.
I am looking to get a couple of those as well. Spelling Bee would be a cool one to have. There was one on eBay last week that actually had William Finn's signature on it but I couldn't pull the trigger on the $150 price.

Posted: 8/16/05 at 10:48amI must admit that I am envious of your OBC Rent...I actually got my windowcard signed at the Spelling Bee CD signing, so it was only $15:)

Yeah, the OBC Rent is definatley the crown jewel of my collection.
I had two of them once upon a time, but I sold the other on eBay about 6 years ago for $500.

I think the big time for BC/EFA is around Thanksgiving, isn't it?
And ahhhh, you have your TTB poster signed by the full original cast?! Mine is signed by one third of the cast, heh. My favorite third, which makes me superbly happy, but unfortunately I have no way to get it to the other two cast members. Ah, well, it's good enough as is! That's one of my most treasured things in my collection.

Posted: 8/16/05 at 11:33amThe only one I've actually purchased was Mamma Mia signed by the original cast. I've managed to get the most of the casts of BKLYN, Lennon, Dracula, Fiddler, Wonderful Town, La Cage, Hairspray, and so many more I cant remember.

The only ones I have are:
-Avenue Q OBC: Minus Ann Harada who was out on maternity leave. For some reason they were only selling this for $40!?!
~and~
-Wicked with Idina, JLT, and Joey MacIntyre. This one cost me $110 but I'm proud of it!
The only other time I've been in NYC during BCEFA time was during a school trip... so no RENT or Thoughly Modern Millie posters for me.
I also have a Movin' Out poster I bought for the tour, because I wanted Michael Cavanaugh to sign it... except he was out the night I saw it! grrrr.... I had the alternate sign it. I still need to get frames for my autographed playbills.
