I mentioned this before----but I was so surprised that I enjoyed Bklyn as much as I did-----The critics (and this site) skewered it. Yes, some of the notes are ridiculous and not great for the voices of these perfomers and yes, the story is certainly not it's selling point---but the music, performers and even the sets and costumes were wonderfully enjoyable.
One of the writers outside the theater invited one of the local homeless guys to "come in, but stand in the back, ok?"---I thought that was amazing. This show has heart!
