Who else is excited for tonight's concert? This will be my first time at Town Hall and I can not wait. The cast looks excellent and will once again show that amplification is not the best way to listen to a show.

FINAL CAST FOR BROADWAY UNPLUGGED!
Aaron Lazar (Tale of Two Cities)
Joins Unmiked Night at The Town Hall
Monday, November 17th at 8 PM
More than a dozen Broadway and Cabaret Stars will be shaking the rafters in
the 5th Annual Broadway Unplugged concert at Town Hall on Monday night,
November 17th. Aaron Lazar, late of Tale of Two Cities will be joining a stellar
cast that already boasts Broadway's Mary Poppins, Ashley Brown, as well as
Marc Kudisch, Jeff McCarthy, Julia Murney, Matt Cavenaugh, Cheryl Freeman,
Christiane Noll, William Michals, Lorinda Lisitza, Chuck Cooper, Erin Denman,
Bill Daugherty, and Ron Bohmer.
I'm going! jacobtsf usually it all works out, and I'm sure with this since it's ALL unplugged at this concert it will be fine. There has been at least one at a Broadway By The Year who went unplugged due to not being able to do his original number because of a foot or leg injury who should NOT have as no one past the first few rows could hear him. But I'm sure this cast will be fine. :)

I'll be there. Been to Town Hall many times, but this will be my first time at a Broadway Unplugged concert. Very much looking forward to it.
I had a GREAT time ~ well, other than the women behind me who thought it was a sing-a-long in some places and the guy next to me who apparently was with the girl at the end of the row ~ with like 5 or 6 people in between them ~ and kept leaning over to mouth things to her. (They ended up eithe leaving or finding seats together at intermission. Hint: Just get seats together in the first place. It'll be far less annoying for all involved.)
It was my first Unplugged concert, but I don't think it will be my last. They were all really good and Cheryl Freeman blew me away. "Microphone cereal" ~ HEE!
Unfortunately this is the first time in 3 years that we had to miss this.... Who was there? Was Marc Kudish as funny as usual?

Marc Kudisch's song was absolutely HYSTERICAL and the highlight of the evening. I've rarely laughed so hard.
Other highlights for me included Cheryl Freeman (WOW that voice) and Christianne Noll singing The Story Goes On while 7 months pregnant. Incredible.
My personal highlight was William Michaels and Bill Daughtery singing "Lily's Eyes." I nearly DIED when I saw that listed in the program, and the song didn't disappoint -- I was absolutely speechless after it.

Were they accompanied by a full orchestra?
No. Ross Patterson's Little Big Band ~ a piano, a bass, a violin, and guitar or banjo.

Really? Because I love that song and found that performance of it to be highly disappointing.
