What the hell were those two old ladies talking about... Alison Fraser (Tessie) is taking classes at John Jay (I believe) and was reading The Iliad for one of them. Marilyn Caskey (Electra) reads with her and quizzes her on the characters and such. but they were joking that during Act I of the show, which they're not in, they have a stripper book club.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.
