I used to watch this show. I can't watch the video, but just from the picture in the slideshow to the right it looks hilarious.
Can't wait for this, since I love this show and of course I love Cheyenne! He writes about doing the episode on his blog.

Cheyenne was fab-u-lash as '70s glam rocker on LIFE ON MARS. This man should have his own TV show where he can display all of his talents: he's a terrific actor, a wonderful singer, a fine dancer, a great comedian and I can't think of anyone more handsome and charming. I'm proud to be a Cheyennetologist, because Cheyenne Jackson rocks my world.
I thought he did a wonderful job. He was so funny!
He did a wonderful job, but I've heard Cheyenne's fabulous voice hundreds of times and for some strange reason they dubbed his singing in this show. That was horrible
I agree about the singing. Didn't think it was him. But it looked like he was having fun in the role. His scene in the jail cell was quite good.
Dammit! I thought nothing short of shooting Harvey Keitel and paying Philip Glenister enough money to show y'all how Gene Hunt *should* be done would get me watching this show again! It turns out I'll merrily tune in for Cheyenne. I feel cheap. D:

I thought that was Cheyenne's voice put through some kind of synthesizer. There would be no reason to dub him, he has quite a large vocal range and I believe we were hearing his lower register digitally remastered.
Cheyenne talked about it on Seth Rudestky's Sirius show yesterday, and he was in fact dubbed. (He was as unsure why as we are.)

If there's anyone in the world who doesn't need to be dubbed, it's Cheyenne Jackson. His voice has a terrific range and the quality is excellent throughout. As Norma Desmond said, "Those stupid producers, those imbeciles . . . "

Thanks for the clarification, Scott 68, and I agree with you totally, EdMottershead, those stupid producers, dubbing Cheyenne Jackson! Why the very idea makes my blood boil, not only because it deprived us of the sound of Cheyenne's gorgeous voice, but also because somebody got paid to make that idiotic decision.
Thanks Scott68 - I knew it wasn't my imagination.
Well said Ed...
I hate that it gives people who don't know better the impression that's what he sounds like. I know he played a 'one hit wonder' but still... that was so totally wrong!!!
Those producers should be tarred & feathered.
Boombaboy - It DID make my blood boil.
Jeez, it's like Enchanted all over again. If you have Idina Menzel, Tonya Pinkins, Judy Kuhn, Jodi Benson, and Paige O'Hara in your film, why don't we get to hear any of them singing?!
