Roxy there is a pretty funny INQUISTION musical sketch in Mel Brooks' History of the world Part I. I love it!!!

"The Inquisition (Let's Begin)
The Inquisition (Look out sin)
I know you're wishing that we'd go away...
But the Inquistion's here and its here to stay!!!!!"

Nightmare Before Christmas

Everytime I hear someone suggest it I puke in my mouth a little bit.

re: Bad Musical Ideas

well I have heard in the news that 2 singers want to bring their life on broadway:
Rod Steward and Mariah Carrey.

Please, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Norbert Leo Butz quotes about John Lithgow: "He's really clumsy. One of the joys in life is to watch a great big huge man totally wipe out backstage. It takes John about three minutes to hit the floor. It's like watching a Great Sequoia falling gracelessly."

Tecnhincally, I think GRAND HOTEL is based on the Vicki Baum novel. Its much closer to that than the MGM movie...

re: Bad Musical Ideas

bare_nakedlady, that was f*****g hilarious!!! YankeeFan, I agree with you on Tarzan (but not on your choice of team lol). When I first heard they were bringing it to the stage, my initial reaction was, "WTF?!" That's a Broadway musical that just shouldn't be. I didn't think the movie worked, either. And don't get me started on those Phil Collins songs!!! (I'm still bitter that "Blame Canada" didn't win.) I think SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER AND UNCUT was more suitable for the stage. But I digress.
Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae
Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra
Salve, Salve Regina

Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes
O clemens O pia

I also think that THE PARENT TRAP could make a potentially good musical - depends on who would do it - obviously.
