For those who might be interested in hearing Michael Ball's take on some of the current musicals on Broadway, his six week radio program, "Ball Over Broadway," starts today on BBC Radio 2. It airs at 7 p.m. UK time, which makes it 2 p.m. EDT. It is possible to listen via the internet by clicking on the link below. Each program should be on their "Listen Again" feature for seven days following the broadcast, if anyone can't listen to it in the afternoon. Today's program will focus on "Wicked."

Next week will be Wonderful Town.
I like the programmes, they edit the songs together to make out the story, but play the btter ones in full - so tonight I imagine The Wizard and I, Popular and Defying Gravity will be in full. However, I don't think Michael Ball's that appropriate for the programme - his voice comes across as quite bland on radio.

Um, well nice to hear bits from Wicked again
But, given that he allegedly saw the show, I wish Michael had got his facts right! He portrayed the story and characters wrongly![]()
But its good to have a musicals programme on the radio. Those of us in the UK who love theatre are not well served by mainstream radio and television
