Oh my, what a wonderful concert. Both of them on top voice, singing songs we all want to her them sing -- although Ms. Cook sang a Rodgers and Hart song I had never heard before -- and duetting on "Sing," "Blue Skies," and "The Grass is Always Greener." (!) The 1800+ full house rose to their feet many, many times, you can be sure.

I wish I written down the song list yesterday ... the only one they sang from music was "Grass is Always Greener." They ended the concert with an encore medley "suggested by Barbara and Stokes" said Audra, of "Of Thee Sing/America the Beautiful/God Bless America" dedicated "to our troops serving overseas and getting them home SOON!"
Ted Sperling accompanied Audra, Lee Muziker the same for Barbara, and the two accompanied Audra for "I Wish I Were in Love Again." Audra's hubby Peter Donovan played bass for them both, as did the drummer (whose name I cannot remember).
Apparently, they are only doing three duet concerts this year, of which DC and Philly are two.
PB, if you get a song list, I will confirm whether or not that's what they did in DC.
It was a FAB concert in DC!!!! So Wonderful! I, too, forgot to write down the entire song list. Here's what I can remember:
Audra (Not in Order):
When Lola Sings
Stars and the Moon
What Can You Lose?
Not a Day Goes By
I Wish I Were In Love Again
I Won't Mind
Can't Stop Talking About Him
The Glamorous Life
It Might As Well Be Spring
Hurry, It's Lovely Up Here
Ms. Cook:
No More
Not While I'm Around
No One is Alone
They also Duetted on "Sing a Song With Me"
Just realizing that I remember more Audra songs than Ms. Cook. Sorry but a lot of those Audra sang, she's done recently in her televised concerts that I've seen so I remembered them! Of Course, I'll kick myself once I see the songs that Ms. Cook sang.
I'm sure half of Philly is still talking about it and talking about it and talking about it....This one goes in my book of top 10 favorites!
Sorry, no song list offered as I took to jotting down songs after a while. Total of 26 songs, 12 from Audra, 9 from Barbara and 4 duets. I'm hoping to put together the BWW review today. Just an incredible evening and the crowd was melting in their seats!

Sounds like the same wonderful magical experience we had in DC! It's really a shame they aren't doing more of these together.
