re: Barbie Musical...

It better not come to California. I cannot STAND Barbie. So cheesy...tasteless. Always the same story...girl wants boy...girl has tragic story...boy saves her and/or wants her too...and they ALL live happily ever after.

Someone shoot me now. I'm sorry but I can't stand Barbie and the thought of a musical about it just makes me kind of want to puke up my own kidney.

A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it, but all she really dreams is to make someone else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer. And that is so beautiful-Anonymous

Megan Hilty! But I don't want her to leave Wicked.

Krisitn Could aswell, but I want Megan to really become well known because she is so good.

Didn't Stephanie J Block Have the voice of Barbie in a commericial?

Maybe Tari Kelly Could aswell.

I probably won't see it lol, but just thinking of who would be Barbie.

re: Barbie Musical...

It says tour, not Broadway show. I think it's a great idea in the vein of those Sesame Street LIVE! shows my little cousins loved going to.

And who can forget the joys of seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in concert?

re: Barbie Musical...

It is NOT coming to Broadway. It is just a tour for the kiddies...calm down people!
(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

re: Barbie Musical...

I for one can't wait to see this. But that's because the music is by Robbie Roth who is incredibly talented. (He's Gavin Creel's writing partner)

and you all will remember the girl playing Barbie, she has an amazing voice and is a very talented performer, and will go far after this "pink" phase.

re: Barbie Musical...

My only question is whether the picture of the dolls was of Barbie and Ken? If it is, I'm kind of sad since I barely recognized them...although, I am glad that Barbie is actually propotionate now.

re: Barbie Musical...

Oh my GOD, I already made a Barbie musical when I was a kid and had Barbie and Ken perform "You're the Top" and other select numbers. Way to steal my idea.
