I have to choreograph a number for a Barbra Streisand impersonator and I am having trouble finding music to use. She needs the four boy dancers to fill while she changes costumes. I'm not sure what the song prior to this would be, but the dance number leads into her singing "Second Hand Rose" from FUNNY GIRL. Since there are no heavy dance numbers featuring only males from the show, we are looking for some sort of Ziegfield-ish, possibly top hat and cane number sounding like it was from that era. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we should use? Someone has already suggested "A Pretty Girl Is Like A Melody" and then I thought about using the "Beautiful Girl" song from SINGIN' IN THE RAIN but I thought maybe you guys could help me out further, just to give me more options.
So, what do you think?
Dress two of them in bride outfits for His Love Makes Me Beautiful with the other two in tux and top hat.
Great idea, badpappa.
Or you could have them perform "I Found a Million Dollar Baby In a Five And Ten Cent Store" from FUNNY LADY.
