Barefoot in the Park Song

Just wondering...
Why don't they play the song from the film, "Barefoot in the Park" in the beginning or as the curtain falls for the scene change (when the flowers appear over the curtain). It's quite catchy. Johnny Mercer lyrics and all.

copyright issue with the Mercer family?

Or, more likely, to be a separate creation rather than a stage revival tying itself to the movie version of a Broadway play.

Or, perhaps Scott Elliott doesn't like the song???

I personally like Marc Shaiman's music. I think his original scene-change music for Odd Couple is better than both that show and Barefoot in their entirety.
