Cam Mac will be opening a new a production on Barnum in Australia in 2013/14.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Wow, that's a long time to wait? Which city or is it a given it will be Melbourne?

Why? It is such a lacklustre show with an unpleasant leading character.

Alter I have never seen the show or heard it, but not sure how it would do this time around. Cam Mac is taking about a big color and movement production.

Well that would be a change for him. Colour and movement usually aren't his style, think LES MIS, MISS SAIGON, PHANTOM...

Of course. Sweeney Todd is such a lovable larrikin... it's obvious why that show is popular.

BARNUM has a great score by Cy Coleman. It's set in the circus world. Sounds like it has more potential than angst-ridden shows like RENT and SPRING AWAKENING.

BARNUM could be bookended with GEORGE M! Both are busy brash shows about lead characters you couldn't give a f**k about. All flash no substance.TKK, get hold of the Michael Crawford taped version you'll see just what I mean.

If the show comes, I will see it. I really like the Broadway Cast recording, so that's incentive for me to go. How many Cy Coleman shows play in Sydney? The last, as far as I remember, was SWEET CHARITY in 1997. I will go regardless.
