Barrett is awesome, such a great guy. He totally deserves the bump up when John leaves.

I saw Barett on the Avenue Q Presidential debate they did in Times Square back in September (yeah, the one in the rain 
). He didn't sing much, but I have to say I was hooked, because the guy is GORGEOUS !!!

Ah! You were at the Q&A also? So was I~ ended up looking like a drowned rat by the end but ah well, it was well worth it..!
I also was at his Ars Nova, he is so incredibly talented... And such a nice guy!! He was awesome as Princeton/Rod as well (in Ave Q), i can't wait for him to get the bump up!!!!!!

QtKt, yes, I was there too, it was my annual trip to NYC those days. !!! And I was looking sooo forward to it and wanted to take pix and then the rain started and all the umbrellas came up and I didn't get a single shot, grrrrrr. Plus the fact that i went without an umbrella like an idiot, so I can FULLY understand the "drowned rat" situation :) And did you too stand near umbrellas that were dripping all their water on you because their damned holders couldn't hold them steady ? I got more wet by these than the actual rain itself LOL

Delphine~ At his Ars Nova, he sang a Gavin Creel song (California?) and a song from each of his shows except for Godspell and Avenue Q (it was funny he didnt, Jeff Marx, Jordan Gelber and Ann Sanders were in the audience as well and i thought for sure he might at least do "Purpose" or something..) But he had a great time, he told a lot of funny little stories about his life... My friend and I wrote a whole little review about it if you want to check it out, the link is:

Greekmusicalfan~ I feel your pain!!! I have some of my pictures that I got in the fan photos section of this board (and on my photobucket, www.photobucket.com, username Only4Now) but i didnt get many during the show either because of all those damn umbrellas, i got dripped on (definately more than the actual rain!) AND some of them almost poked my eye out (i'm too short!)... LOL But it ended up being worth it because i got some good pictures at the end... Being so short, i really got more wet by those umbrellas.... grr... but I stuck it out like a true Tartlet Take care!

I love Barrett! I have been a HUGE fan of his since back in the day when he was in the 2000 Off Broadway cast of "Godspell" as Jesus. He has since been my idol and inspiration and I have seen him in almost every production he has done since then. I absolutely adore him and gave him a gift that he has hanging in his dressing room.
He deserves the bump up and I truly hope he gets it.

Idle gossip is one thing, and I'm not sure that I've read that Barrett is or is not. But many performers on Broadway are openly and proudly gay and it should not be verboten to discuss this. Would you bump a thread asking if a performer were Jewish or Italian? I just don't understand this censorship!
