Something. Anything. I really hope to see him do something right after he leaves Q, he was such a great performer and I have no doubt he will have trouble finding work.
As of a show playing on Broadway, I can't place thinking of a show for him to go into, but I'm sure he will find something whether its already playing or not.

Posted: 4/30/06 at 8:48pmWell, Barrett apparently played Mark in Altar Boyz at one point, and I would LOVE for him to revisit that.

Posted: 4/30/06 at 8:53pmwow, i never that, but since i've seen Altar Boyz, it definitely seems like a role he'd be perfect for!

Posted: 4/30/06 at 8:59pmIt would have been impossible for him to be in Altar Boys . . he's been in Avenue Q since Altar Boys opened. . .

Posted: 4/30/06 at 9:03pmNo, not off-Broadway. I mean in an earlier reading. The Marks off-Broadway have only been Tyler Maynard and Danny Calvert.

HAHAHA. James Royce Edwards. He was recently in Altar Boyz as Matthew and Luke, and is currently in Hairspray as Sketch and the understudy for Link. It was a limited engagement until today(4/18-4/30) but he thinks he might extend. He's an absolutely wonderful man, and I love him to pieces. He's a personal trainer too, thus the wonderous fitness shots.
You can go to www.jamesroyceedwards.com, which he updates all the time with pictures and a blog and such.
So .. Barrett.

I hope he stays in Avenue Q for a longtime.
He is wonderful and such a nice guy.
I saw him in Cupid and Psyche, and he stole the show.
I also saw him in Mamma Mia. He is the best.
He is a star, but I love him in Q!
He is one of my favorite performers.
I loved John, but I adore Barrett.

I would love to see him a[s] Tulsa in Gypsy
I saw Barrett 22 times as Tulsa - he did the role at the Weston Playhouse right before he made his Broadway debut in Mamma Mia.

Posted: 5/1/06 at 7:26amIt's a shame that he isn't getting to do Avenue Q in London which he would have been happy to do. That way I could get to see him 8 performances a week in the show. Oh well, London's loss.

Posted: 5/1/06 at 7:44amHe would need to play a gay or sexually ambiguous role (i.e. Tulsa). I can't exactly see him playing a straight man.
