After recently seeing Sweeney at Barrow Street. I had the idea of an up close revival of Little Shop taking place in an actual skid row and plant shop. If they cast right and go real interactive I think it would do well. Thoughts?
I agree that I would love to see a small, intimate revival of Little Shop off Broadway. I'm not sure that I'm interested in seeing an immersive production, but rather a production that is largely a recreation of the original production.
Also, Annaleigh Ashford neeeeeeeds to play Audrey.
Kind of off topic but semi-related, I couldn't help but think of how magical it would be to see some other Sondheim shows done in that immersive type of atmosphere. I imagined walking into the Barrow St. performance space covered in trees and grass, the audience seated on tree stumps and whatnot... with an immersive Into the Woods, or something of the sort.
Might not work, just thought it would be pretty neat.

That actually sounds like an amazing idea. Or maybe a little night music in a small banquet hall?

IN SF a few years ago, Boxcar Theater (I think) had a production that literally started in an alley on "Skid Row" - which in this case was their very rough location off 6th St in SOMA's Tenderloin.
