How so? Apart from Battle leaving, there haven't been any reported problems.
Incidentally, it can't be true that Hinton Battle was "too short". According to Broadway.com, the new Van Helsing is the wonderful Stephen McKinley Henderson (Jitney, Ma Rainey, King Hedley), who is shorter than Battle.

i love when you pull out that old chestnut. i always illustrates your stalker tendencies and your lack of real ammunition that forces you to continually trot that out. I WIN!!

i know it sounds crazy but that is seriously what they told people at the theater when asked why it happened. i didnt believe it either.

Does Stephen McKinley Henderson sing? I don't remember him in any musicals.

Posted: 6/17/04 at 10:53amThe word elsewhere on the internet was that Battle thought the part was larger than it is, and that he seemed somewhat uneasy in rehearsal.
