just saw this on Broadway.com. first i had heard Len Cariou mentioned for the role of Van Helsing, now this. maybe he got the memo.

This show is going through all kinds of problems.

How so? Apart from Battle leaving, there haven't been any reported problems.

Incidentally, it can't be true that Hinton Battle was "too short". According to Broadway.com, the new Van Helsing is the wonderful Stephen McKinley Henderson (Jitney, Ma Rainey, King Hedley), who is shorter than Battle.

LocalOneCrew crazy? No! Tell me it's not so!

From the man who told us that "Raisin in the Sun" was going into the Shubert Theater?

i love when you pull out that old chestnut. i always illustrates your stalker tendencies and your lack of real ammunition that forces you to continually trot that out. I WIN!!

PB ent-
i know it sounds crazy but that is seriously what they told people at the theater when asked why it happened. i didnt believe it either.

Does Stephen McKinley Henderson sing? I don't remember him in any musicals.

Grow up kids. Or at least move this to a different off-topic thread. At the very least keep it in PM's

The word elsewhere on the internet was that Battle thought the part was larger than it is, and that he seemed somewhat uneasy in rehearsal.
