Sounds like the producers are still trying to figure out what exactly to do with this show. It's selling well, advance is fine (if not spectacular), but will influencer marketing really spread word of mouth to people who will buy tickets?
I admire what they're trying to do - it's great the the show can bring in people who aren't already theater buffs. I'd be concerned that the polarized response from non-superfans means there isn't nearly as big a market as their streams would suggest.
