And I had never heard of the musical about the Scottsboro Boys. And I'm glad to know that he does have a life partner, it's foolish, but I'm glad to know that he isn't all alone.

I wonder who all came to him looking to write with him?

Because, you know, Betty Comden is "single" now...

Yes, very revealing article. I can never find enough information about these two, and have the only book currently available about them, Colored Lights.

Thank you...

A truly great article. Newfound respect for the both of them. It mentions that Curtains will be coming to Broadway...any guesses when?

"And I'm glad to know that he does have a life partner, it's foolish, but I'm glad to know that he isn't all alone."

Sondheimboy, I really hope that is a misprint, because that is one of the most offensive things I've read on this board...

But in regards to the article, I read it yesterday, and thought it was just wonderful.

How we'll miss, and remember fondly, "kandernebb"...

Paradox, he didn't mean to be offensive. I think if anything, he was being self-deprecating.

Paradox,

I've reread Sondheimboy's comment over and over, and I can't figure out what you feel is offensive about it.

I'm a friend of John's, and he's truly one of the most generous, wonderful men I've ever met. And I agree with Sondheimboy, I'm glad he's with Albert, who is also a terrific guy.

Oh wait, maybe I'm misreading it.

Yep, that's probably it.

For some reason, I took the comment to be that it was foolish for Kander to have a life-partner...

I read and reread before I posted, but that's all I could glean from it.

Rath, you're right, it was a self-deprecating comment.

My bad, sorry guys...
