I saw it about two months ago. Ashley Brown was fantastic - don't get me wrong - but everything else just blew.

When I saw Beauty and the Beast at the Lunt in August of 2004 there was still a pyrotechnic effect in the prologue that being the enchantress throwing the ball of fire across the stage. Did they recently change this? I see no reason why they'd have to seeing as such an effect produces a negligible amount of smoke.

Sorry - you're correct about the Enchantress' fireball still being in the show, but the other fireworks that used to come out of the floor for the Prince to Beast transformation have been replaced by lighting strobes and a CO2 "smoke curtain."
