Does anyone have an idea of how it was revealed and recieved? Was it like Lion King or Mermaid?

i read somewhere...who knows where exactly, that it was also torn apart. However, not as much as Mermaid because the internet wasnt as big back then.<> Then they fixed it etc, etc. Also, I've heard that BatB did really well because there weren't any other family shows at the time. Now with TLM opening, there's already Wicked, Lion King, Poppins, Hairspray, and all that other stuff. I feel like I'm answering the wrong question.

so yeah...they said BatB would be bad then it ran for 13 years...

and i love your signature-the last line is so freakin funny Updated On: 1/5/08 at 06:02 PM

I know the sets and costumes were MUCH MORE complex then what they were even at the Palace.

Here are some pictures of the old set and costume designs:

Why would they downsize the sets and costumes? Were they not working?

Evan, they switched theatres in 1999 so the large-scaled AIDA could open in March 2000. That caused some cast changes and set/costume downscales.

Fantasma, I believe the show was getting TOO elaborate?
