um, i saw it awhile back with christy carlson romano, and she was pretty good, but it is a lot like the movie, some new songs which are nice, and its very spectacley/showy
it depends on your age, but i reccomend it for like 10 and younger, there would prob be a lot more shows i would wanna see right now
but it is a cute show to see for the heck of it

i recall hearing that the quality of the production dipped when it transferred to the lunt, they used the national tour set (lots of painted drops instead of set pieces) and cut some of the ensemble down

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

Maybe so...but these days the show is good shape - Ashley Brown is very good, the rest of the principals are strong, and the ensemble has gained a lot of new members lately, so there's a good energy about it. Give it a chance if you haven't seen it before. It ain't challenging like Sondheim, but it's good theatre.

I saw the Original cast which was amazing! I dont remember specificsbut it was really good! I saw the national tour a few years back and it was REALLY GREAT! I was also in it in march which was a blast. THIS SHOW IS TIMELESS AND YOU SHOULD GO SEE IT!

Yes Ashley Brown is Amazing but she is playing against her Grandpa
Steve Blanchard is very talented and has a Great Voice
But They need a Hot Younger Beast in there soon
The story is (cliche) Timeless and the Music is great
But several leads are way too Tired
How Old is the beast spose to be?
and some of those chorus Women are puffin too hard
it is still a great Show.
and it made a Mill Two over Xmas.
Go Beauty!!

I've seen the show twice. Once in '03 and once in the summer of '05. The first time I saw it I thought it was very cheesy. I was surprised that it's been on Broadway for such a long time. Steve Blanchard was in it both times and I think he's good. The sets were making noises and totally ruined the effect of the show.

Anyway, when I went back the second time, they had updated certain costume pieces (one certain main was either not wearing a belt or just the outfit shapped him wrong) and the certain effects were fixed. I think it's a fun kids show. I am 19 and I went with my mom and it's just a simple enjoyable show. I would recommend trying to get a discount for the show though.

Saw it for the second time just before Christmas and I agree that it, or anyone in it, ain't tired! I posted then that Ashley Brown was amazing, her voice will blow you away. I thought the other leads and the ensemble were fun to watch, and the whole show is just a good time.

It's a great show...I love it. The original cast was the best, but the current cast is very good. It's not great for some kids under 5; the beast scares them. That's the only thing I would caution you about. If you're not a snob about fairytales and allow yourself to enjoy it, you will.

I saw it when I was younger and I loved it, so def great for kids, but I would still like it even now! The champagne bottles were my fave part I recall.. I can't remember much but I saw it with Mark Kudisch (no way am I spelling his name right, but he is actually a relative of mine!- I should prob know how to spell his name then right haha) anyway he is great (of course i say that lol) but the show is def worth seeing!
