ok. I caught up to a bunch of back episodes of Jeff Blumenkrantz's podcast and, while I was already familiar with Becca Ayers (and I ADORE her as a performer; one of the highlights of my last few years of theatregoing was seeing her wonderful Eve/Mama Noah in Children of Eden in DC), after hearing her sing "Freefall", I can't help but think she would make a wonderful Elphaba.
Heck, I think she'd make a wonderful anything, come to think of it.

No, He's Ayres. But her sister is Heather Ayers, also a fantastic performer, she was in 5 Course Love Off-Broadway most recently.

Anyone else at all familiar with her? She was marvelous as Mama Noah/Eve, quite good, I am told, during her run with Avenue Q, and absolutely fantastic as Sarah (which she's reprising in the off-Broadway Sarah, Plain and Tall).

Becca Ayers is awesome.

I saw her in the show "Audience"- and she totally stood out amidst a huge cast of big musical performers.

She needs to be a star.

I saw her as Jenn Barnhart's (sp?) replacement in Avenue Q a few months ago and thought she was entirley lacking.

I never saw her but Jen Barnhart is a sweetheart!

I just recieved a note and her headshot in the mail the other day! The Q cast has to be one of the best.

I love her on the Sarah, Plain and Tall cast recording! She reminds me of Sutton on a few songs. She's gorgeous and so is her voice. She's gonna be a huge star real soon!

I think she'd be great. She has the perfect look/sound for the role.
