I've heard Bob Saget is terrible.
I've never seen Spelling Bee before, but I'm seeing it on the 30th, and from what I have seen and heard from it, it's probably the better choice. And there's always the tour of Drowsy, which might have better casting.

Saget isn't "terrible."
I've seen both with their current casts and Bee had me rather bored.

I'd recommend BEE over DROWSY, though I do love them both.
BEE has me laughing every time, like a laugh a minute. Not so much with DROWSY, though it is still enjoyable.
And P.S. I have seen the entire new cast of BEE twice now, and they are equal in brilliance to the original cast.

I saw this cast of Spelling Bee in Boston twice, and they were just wonderful. Jenni Barber is incredibly affecting as Olive.
I hope you get the chance to see both shows. In my opinion they are two of the best, funniest, biggest-hearted musicals on the Great White Way in recent memory.
