Posted: 4/21/04 at 12:10amIt was the great experience of my life! I will NEVER forget my opening on Broadway. A 10 minute standing ovation for Carol on her opening entrance!! And not a dry eye in the house when she came down the stairs in that red dress dor the Dolly number. It was amazing!

ilovemattyfresh2- If you try hard enough, maybe one day you can be the next Carol Channing.

Posted: 4/21/04 at 12:34amMale...The ensemble was a great cast. Everyone sang and acted and danced very well. We were on the road for 18 months and on Broadway 3 months and there was never a cast replacement. We really got along.

There are so many previous young Cosettes in the Central Jersey area- When you go to see high school shows, you see a lot of them credit their Les Miz role in their bios.
BrooklynsChild- Was she in the original cast? I have the recording- Those kids are very talented that were in the revival.

Posted: 4/22/04 at 7:35pmyes, unfortunatley one of the young Cosettes goes to my school-she did the tour, not Broadway, and MAN does she have an ego. she's too good for our school shows so she only does Papermill. sadly, shes not really that talented, she just knows a LOT of people.

Posted: 4/22/04 at 9:28pmI thought when children are cast in shows they are generally just cast if their personality is similar to that of the character. It isn't as much about talent at that young of an age. Any opportunity to do something in theatre shouldn't be turned down if that is what you want to do with your life.
