Has anyone been on it? What's it like? Is it worth it?

Yes I have been on the tour.

Is it worth it? Well that depends on you, I guess.

I found it interesting. My husband really liked it. I am a performer and music teacher and was hoping for more "real-world" theatre stories/experiences. The tour was mostly like a museum exhibit with costumes, wigs, props, etc. Sean McCourt was one of the tour guides and he was very informative (he was in the OBC of Wicked and is now in Mary Poppins). 1/2 the tour was a documentary style film shown in the theatre. The other part of the tour was in the lobby area.

The question/answer session at the end (of my particular tour) was annoying to me because most of the questions were like, "What was Idina's favorite song to perform?" which I thought could have been looked up on My Space or something.

I wouldn't do the tour again, but it was fun for my husband (he is a non-singer/performer so he doesn't have the same passion for theatre as I do).

Hope this helps somewhat.

Definitely on my list of things to do next time I'm in NYC... which will HOPEFULLY be in March re: Behind The Emerald Curtains Tour

Have heard good things about it. Even though I am a die-hard WICKED fan, I have yet to be able to take the tour.

I have heard really great things about it! I would go if I had the chance.
