Hey Ya'll -
Quick question about the Belasco.
I just purchased a pair of tix to see JOURNEY'S END.
I have Center Mezz. Row A, Seats 107 and 108.
What row of the orchestra will we overhang?
- and also -
What's the view like -- Decent?
Many thanks for your help.
I'm just super-anxious to be catching it bofore it closes!
Best,
- Mike
I never was in the Belasco, but I think it is one of the smaller theaters, if I am not mistaken. If you looked on the Telecharge seating chart, it says that the first row of the mezzanine overhangs row J. The view from the front and center mezzanine should be great. Usually in most theaters those would be great seats.

The whole show is so bloody dark that you can barely see a thing from the front row of the orchestra.
I kid, I kid.
Front row is fine. No worries.

I asked this in another thread but this one is more appropriate, I am debating on where to sit, if I should splurge on better seats or do the smart thing and buy balcony seats, the ones I could really afford.
Does anyone know how view is from the Balcony, is it like you are looking at the top of their heads? Also, I remember hearing complaints that there was an annoying bar blocking the view in Row A & B of the mezzanine and Balcony, did they rid of that problematic bar when they renovated?
Opinions appreciated, Thanks
I don't like the balcony of most theaters and this is no exception. It just feels so far away, at least for me. The sightlines are fine. (I would be a little concerned about hearing since it is a straight play.) Also, I heard they would sell onstage seating for $25. Is that going to be at the box office once they open? (And if so, when is that?)

Avoid the balcony and very front and far side mezzanine. Center mid- to rear-mezzanine is excellent.
