How's the rear orchestra? Literally last row of the theater, row Q, was all we could pick up but to see that entire cast of Women on the Verge..., on one stage, was an opportunity we didn't want to miss.
I know the show hasn't started yet, but from past experiences, anyone find rear orchestra seats fine?
It's actually very good compared to most other theaters. The entire theatre, esp. the orch. is very "intimate". There's more leg room on the sides aisles, too (Only the last row, pretty much). You'll feel pretty close to the action.
True, Wonkit, the first 2 rows mezz are excellent...even better than orch (some people like it better). Very close overhang over the orch. superb view for musicals. BTW, the newly restored murals on the mezz level are breathtaking!
I have, but it depends on 2 things - how picky you are, and how tall you are. The rake is pretty good. The back rows of the Belasco are very good imho. Depending on the scenery, even the side back rows are good. Remember, though, that during previews, there may be a lot of whispering, note-taking etc. from the director, assts, etc. Personally, I LOVE the 1st row mezz for musicals. Outstanding view).
Thought I would love the first row of the Mezz but hated it. The gold bar blocked my view and I am 5'10. My friend who is 5 feet, all she could see was the person's chest and up to their face. I understand a tall bar in the asile but why in the saeting area?
