click the link for "Display Replacement Info" at the very bottom and you should have all the info you need. give a man a fish, feed him for a day. teach him how to use the Internet Broadway Database, and he'll be pretty disappointed if fish was his goal.

according to IBDB,
Susan Egan,Toni Braxton, Kerry Butler, Deborah Gibson, Kim Huber, Andrea McArdle, Christianne Tisdale, Sarah Uriarte, Sarah Litzsinger, Megan McGinnis, Christy Carlson Romano, Ann Sanders, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Brooke Tansley
U/S - Kim Huber, Paige Price, Barbara Folts, Sarah (E.?) Litzsinger, Ana Maria Andricain, Andrea Burns, Michelle Mallardi, Ann Sanders, and Jennifer Hope Wills (that one is from memory, I may be wrong)
The dates get confusing, as IMDB has conflicting and missing info.

According to the list posted by magicpiane off of IBDB, the list of people who have played the role on Broadway looks to be right, but there are at least a few understudies missing from the list, including Yvette Lawrence, Tracy Michailidis, Rachel Ulanet, Brynn O'Malley (current), Jessica Boevers, and Christianne Tisdale.
I could try to put the Belles in order if you need that, but I doubt I could get the dates right for you.

At least Jamie-Lynn was happy to be there and appreciative of the opportunity to perform on Broadway.
Saddle Shoe, this is the best I have been able to do. Hope it helps.
Susan Egan: April 18, 1994 - 1995
(about a year before she went to open the LA company)
Sarah Uriarte: 1995-1996
(about a year, maybe a little longer)
Christianne Tisdale: 3 months between Uriarte and Butler
(I thought Butler started earlier, but...)
Kerry Butler: March 27, 1997 - September 21, 1997
Deborah Gibson: September 24, 1997 - June 28, 1998
Kim Huber: June 30, 1998 - September 6, 1998
Toni Braxton: September 9, 1998 - February 28, 1999
Andrea McArdle: March 3, 1999 - December 10, 2000
Sarah Litzsinger: December 12, 2000 - August 4, 2002
Ann Sanders: August 6, 2002 - September 29, 2002
Jamie-Lynn Sigler: October 1, 2002 - February 9, 2003
Sarah Litzsinger: February 11, 2003 - April 13, 2003
Megan McGinnis: April 15, 2003 - February 15, 2004
Christy Carlson Romano: February 17, 2004 - September 12, 2004
Brooke Tansley: September 14, 2004 - September 18, 2005
Ashley Brown: September 20, 2005 - May 28, 2006
Sarah Litzsinger: May 30, 2006 - fall, 2006
Sarah Uriarte Berry: fall, 2006

Did anyone see Ann Sanders as Belle? She was 1st Cast Belle in Germany for the last year of B & B. I love her voice. Also a great Ellen in Miss Saigon.
One cool fact: In Germany all the first cast Belles were Asian! I think that is just great, that Disney is so open minded!

There was a Broadway World poll on that very subject not too long ago (before Tansley started her run).
As for Ann Sanders, I really liked her. She was solid and charming and lovely, never too tough or bitchy, with a beautiful voice.

this is the thread about the BEST BELLE Poll.
Personally having seen 4 different Belles...It would be impossible to choose between Susan Egan,Kerry Butler, and now Brooke Tansley.Three Great performances. But I think I`m leaning towards Brooke. She is ...Belle.
The 4th was Andrea McCardle. She was also pretty good. But not as good as the other three.Go BROOKE...We Love You.

Posted: 10/13/04 at 9:18amJamie-Lynn brought a real sweetness to Belle. Not the best of all but it is not fair to compare her with CCR, who after the first week SUCKED! Jamie-Lynn did a fine job and was a pleasure to work with.

Does anyone know if Brynn O'Malley is still covering Belle?
And does anyone know if Sarah Litzsinger has any scheduled time off? I'd love to see Brynn, though I don't see Sarah taking a vacation anytime soon.
Someone please make me eat my words.

Posted: 8/23/06 at 9:11amI think Kerry was in BATB longer than those dates, but someone can correct me on that. (She also originated the role in Toronto prior to taking on Belle on Bway)

Posted: 8/25/06 at 6:37pmBrynn IS back covering Belle again. Sarah Litzsinger is only in B&B through mid-September
