Ben Folds Musical?

I just heard through the grapevine that Ben has given permission to have his songs used theatrically and that the project in the works will go before producers in the next 2 months.

Does anyone have any more info on this? It sounds really good.

I love Ben Folds. I'm not sure how well they'd go over in a musical, but I'm totally up for it.

I was at an audition last week and over heard a couple of producers talking about it. They seemed really excited about it. One said how much she loved the script. I think they said it was called Wide Sea Of Eyes. They were speaking as if they were trying to keep it quiet. Which makes sence, I imagine a lot of producers would want to get there hands on it.

If anyone else has info I'd love to hear it.

well, of all the "Catalog" musicals, this is the only one that interests me...I'd prefer he write an original musical, though.
