Bennigan's Broadway Bash TONIGHT!

is anyone planning to go to this event tonight? I really want to go but all of my friends are too busy! i really don't want to go alone, so i was hoping to maybe meet up with some BWWers! i'd have to leave in the next 15 min or so, so i hope someone sees this! Thanks!

well. i ended up going all alone but i had a blast so i bet you all wish you went

the food was a mexican buffet (fajitas, quesadillas, etc.) plus a really yummy sundae bar. i actually ended up sitting with Jennifer Barnhart from Q and we talked for like an hour. it was awesome! she's sooo nice. then i just kinda people watched. there weren't any major A-listers there, but there were SO many people i recognized but couldn't place. it seemed like most of the people there were broadway actors, and there were very few civilians. i also ended up talking to celia keenan-bolger from Spelling Bee and BLBC for about 1/2 an hour and she's also sooo sweet. i got some more info about BLBC that i found really helpful in understanding the plot, so i'll go post that on the appropriate thread.

all in all, a really fun night!

I went as well, WONDERFUL TIME! Wish some more folks would have shown up though! Certainly no A-Listers, but next time folks - SHOW UP. It was a great cause and wonderful time & food.

I wish I wouldve seen this post before I left work. I had totally planned on going then my friends had to back out last minute. I didn't want to go alone, props to you for going without your friends. I wish I had the self confidence. I want to hear more about what I missed. Who else was there from Ave Q?

I am going to assume not many were there because of Broadway unplugged which has most major A-listers performing or attending from what i hear - that was tonight right?

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for coming tonight. We raised more than $1500 for BC/EFA tonight. We had some great raffle prizes as well-dinner with Joe Machota and Max von Essen, as well as a dinner with Celia Keenan Bolger and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Lots of fun. I talked briefly to this older gentleman (he came up to me and said "you look like you don't know anyone either" and we started talking...) who said that you sang on his CD? please tell me that wasn't someone like really really famous and i totally had no idea who he was? he was on his way to b'way unplugged.

oh, and photo link below. it's soo nice to be able to put names to faces! i totally recognized all of those chorus boys but i just couldn't place them!
