I want to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday, but am dealing with a fairly tight budget... I've searched everywhere I can think of to no avail... any recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

Are you a student, according to the NJ Symphony's website, they offer $10.
Also check njartstix.org, if you join, you might be able to get discount tickets a couple of day before.
