I wish I had seen Cate Blanchette but unfortunately I didn't. I liked the way Blythe Danner used an affected British accent in the play (it seemed appropriate for Blanche's personality) but the staging of that production was awful. Ann-Margaret blew me away in the tv film she was the sexiest Blanche I ever saw (the way she uttered "You make my mouth water" to the paperboy was priceless).
