Best Broadway Show Memories

Well, my memories go back a bit further. Highlights were Ben Vereen singing "Magic to Do" at my first Broadway show. Michelle Lee's final powerhouse solo in "Seesaw". Angela Lansbury with her riveting "Rose's Turn." Jennifer Holliday knocking my socks off with "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going". However, all of these pale to the New Year's Eve performance of the Original Cast of "A Chorus Line." I was young but we had been listening to the Cast album since July. The performances were incredible - Donna McKechnie, Priscilla Lopez, all of them! I had never seen a show like it before. I can't explain how innovative, brash and breathtaking it was. You have to put "ACL" in its time period. No revival can touch it. You honestly had to be there to understand what a powerful piece of musical theatre "A Chorus Line" was. I count myself lucky to be one.
