Kim, Miss Saigon
I like andrew's death in Titanic when the piano smashes him into the wall. is that too sadistic?
Gavroche....I think that is his name?....but in Les Miserables when he goes down to get stuff off the dead peoples body and he is singing and he gets shot the first time and he keeps on singing and then he gets shot again and sings then dies.....I was through...I was bawling.
AIDA even though they come back.
Enjolras has the most visually attractive death scene in my opinion, although I also enjoy, well maybe not enjoy, but like Fantine's and Eponine's as well. Les Mis seems to have set teh standard for death scenes, those are all the first ones I thought of.

Evita's death.
I'm not a big Andrew Lloyd Webber fan, but EVITA has always been a favorite of mine. Her death is so passionate and anguished - then she dies and the orchestra swells into that theme and I'm one big goosebump.

Onstage: The Baker's Wife from Into the Woods.
Offstage: Billy from "Momma Look Sharp"(1776). This song can bring me to tears as I envision Billy waiting to die and his mother out searching for him.
It makes me feel horrible to even hear about Roger's girlfriend slitting her wrists in the bathroom.
-Pretty much everyone in Les Miz =)
-Billy Bigelow in Carousel
-The King in "The King and I"
-The Baker's Wife in "Into the Woods"
I am sure I have more, I just can't think of any right now...
Nancy's Death in Oliver! is very chilling and scary, if you have a REALLY good Sykes and it is staged well....very scary!
I too like the Baker's Wife death. So startling right after she sings "Moments in the Woods"

Javert - jumping from the bridge and then the water (turntable) washes his body away, one of the best stage deaths/exits ever!
Evita
"So what use could 50, 60, 70 be? I saw the light and I was on my way".
Grizabella
Always sing a power ballad before you die
Shenandoah
The married couple sings a reprise of "We Make A Beautiful Pair" and then are killed by soldiers.
Kim in Miss Saigon, all of the Les Mis deaths, but especially Javert's.
I liked the end of The Scarlet Pimernell where you think Percy dies and he comes back out hlding the fake head.
i love the deaths in little shop of horrors sooo creepy. audrey's made me sad cause i loved audrey!
All the deaths in "Sweeney Todd". Mrs. Lovett's end is really chilling.

Kim's death in Miss Saigon???? That was copied from the opera Madame Butterfly!! Except that in the opera she kills herself with a knife and Kim shoots herself. But still, nothing original there, folks.
The best I've ever seen is the King's death in THE KING AND I

Mereb, Aida, and Radames-AIDA. I sob like a baby every time.
Fantine, Javert, Eponine, Jean Valjean-Les Mis. Also very heartbreaking.
Angel-RENT. I cry so hard. Especially since Angel is the center of the group of friends.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Lucy's death from Jekyll & Hyde! It's really chilling to hear Hyde singing the reprise of "Sympathy, Tenderness" while he stabs her. It's very sad, but also thrilling in a wierd way...anyone in agreement?
Eponine in Les Miz
Angel in Rent
I would have to say almost everyone in Les Mis but I really like Gavroche's death and Javert's death. I also think Kim has a good death as well
Miss Lovett's death in Sweeny Todd
Jacks mother in Into the Woods
I'm surprised it took so long for someone to mention Sweeney Todd. Especially the Beggar Woman's death; dramatic irony anyone. With the dark theme from "Johanna" playing in the background. *shivers*
Also Arnaud in Martin Guerre. You begin to think there might be a happy ending then BAM! nope.
I agree with Lucy's death in J&H, and I also like the whole "Murder, murder" scene, well... If there's a good Hyde (Not Hasselhoff please!!)
