"...but Winston the campy angel doesn't know he's God, so he's mean to him. Drama!"
haha. i just imagined that being said like a 13 yr old teen... omg, like and then he didn't know he was God. drama!
well put review. i liked it and agreed. the absurdity of it all seems even MORE absurd when put together that way. on stage it was the most ridiculous mess of an attempted story, oy.

I have a feeling your very funny review is more entertaining than the show itself! Not having seen the show yet, and based solely on your description, what comes to mind is a real life "Springtime For Hitler" sort of thing--a show intended to flop quickly that becomes a cult hit. I wonder if their producers will soon be lamenting, "Where Did We Go Right?"

The identity of the producer is a mystery, but if we hear about a bunch of little old ladies trying to sue a millionaire who flees to Rio, we'll know what's up.

writeinnyc, I think you are right about it being camp; it's very campy. I wish they would include the leads in that genre as they did in Rocky Horror and then the piece could actually fly like David Turner...

Oh...My...God...
This sounds like the best show ever. I must see it.
What actually possesses people to sit down and write a show involving a giant lemon? I mean, seriously.
And this is coming from a guy who once wrote a screenplay narrated by a robotic goldfish.
Back up! No, I mean it, BACK UP!!! Did that review say that GOD sings a song begging that TJ's life be spared? GOD BEGS FOR SOMEONE'S LIFE? Seriously, you must be mistaken.

Yeah, but God, or Al', is kind of demanding and no way as much fun as David Turner...
Wonderboy, I agree with everyone who says your review is excellent. The show, on the other hand, seems DERANGED...but not in a good way.
I can see and hear Joe Flaherty on SCTV as Count Floyd saying, "Oooooh. That's scary stuff."
A Count Floyd Fan ?
I can hear Johnny La Rue now
Was in the city last week. (Won Lottery for Wicked BTW) Was given a 4 song CD from "In my Life". The last song "When she danced" I liked, the rest really boring. Great bed time CD putting my 3 year old to sleep. It works!
why would anyone think the mother is hispanic....what a bizarre analysis.
