Best NY hotel for families?

What are some nice hotels (affordable), that are great for accomodating famililes of 5? Are there any that don't require booking 2 seperate rooms?

I don't know about affordability, but the Double Tree in Times Square has very spacious rooms (and the bathrooms are HUGE) you can request larger (King/Queen) beds, and rollaway beds...

The problem is that not all NYC hotel rooms have the standard 2 queen beds. Rooms can be really tiny.
