Hello all. I'm going to be making my first Broadway trip over Labor Day weekend, and am attempting to see as many shows as possible for as cheaply as possible, so doing the rush for some shows, Lotteries for others (generally the other show on the same day of something I rush), and TKTS for any slot that I haven't managed to lotto or rush by shortly before showtime.
What I'm trying to decide is which shows would be best to rush in terms of potential seats. From what I've read it sounds like a lot of the shows' rush seats are Partial View, but some are more "partial" than others. Are there any of the shows that have rush available where rushing just isn't worth it due to how obscured the seats are? It would be useful to know beforehand of this so I can know not to consider those. Conversely, are there any opinions on any shows which tend to give relatively good seats for the rush price?
Obviously I will be considering other factors tsuch as taste and quality of the show, but this is still a factor I want to consider and any advice from( those who have rushed several Broadway shows would definitely be appreciated. (Also for frame of reference, the shows that, before factoring this, I most likely see myself rushing are probably Something Rotten and either Matilda or Color Purple, but this may change).
