I love all of Goodbye Love (Rent) but especially when Mark and Roger are fighting. It is so obvious they love each other (I mean as friends. ) and the pain each of them feel comes through. On a side note, I think Mark is just an awesome "regular" straight guy. I see so many of my guy friends, and my exes in him.

'You made me think you were in love' and 'Take that look off your face' from Tell Me on a Sunday
Does the last bit of 'Who am I' from Les Mis count - the bit that's in the court room. Kinda confrotational the 'So Javert you see it's true...'bit always brings goosebumps. Obviously the bit just after that is very confrontational and brilliantly done most of the time too.
The greatest one that I can possibly think of is Gin/Wild from The Wild Party by Michael John LaChiusa. The number is inspired chaos and simply brilliant in its complexity and character. Improperly staged the number is terrible to watch but with the right creative vision the number is nothing short of complete genius.
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"
"Confrontation" - Les Miserables "Jealousy Duet" - Threepenny Opera "Love Ain't Nothin'/Welcome to Her Party" - LaChiusa's The Wild Party (in addition to "Wild" from the same show)
