I realized that I also left Don Walker off my earlier list. His career spanned 50 years, but he contributed extraordinary orchestrations for On the Town, Carousel, Finian's Rainbow, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Call Me Madam, Wonderful Town, The Pajama Game, The Most Happy Fella, The Music Man, Greenwillow, The Gay Life, She Loves Me, Anyone Can Whistle, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Zorba!, The Rothschilds, 70 Girls 70 and Shenandoah. Many of those shows still sound as fresh as a daisy.
