Just wondering where I should aim to sit for this show. Would it be okay to be in the R or L orchestra section?
Thanks!

You really can't go wrong sitting anywhere in this theatre. I sat in the first row of the mezzanine and was in heaven. Both of your seating options would probably be fine...but keep in mind that R would be partial view (I think). You miss the top level of the set, but only like 30 seconds of actual stuff happens up there anyway. I have heard people say that closer is better, but the Booth is so small that anywhere is fine, really.

I've sat in Row H of the mezzanine (the VERY last row) several times because they're the cheapest seats, and you can see everything just fine. I've also sat mid-mezz, and will be sitting in the orchestra (fourth row, I think) next week for the first time. But the Booth really is small enough that just about anywhere you sit, you'll be able to see everything and be just as engrossed in the story!

Because of the 3 story set, I wouldn't recommend sitting further back than about row P. You don't miss any of the story if you can't see the top level, but it kind of kills the moment. I saw it in NY from the back row and it drove me crazy because it kept taking me out of the story.

Also, sitting further forward than about the 6th row will give you a crick in your neck because they do spend a fair amount of time on the second level.

How much actually happens on the third level? I know that Gabe used to appear on the third level during the opening number, but that got changed at some point to him appearing on the second level.

I sat row J and M of the orchestra and thought it was perfect all three levels can be seen (Even though nothing important happens in the third level).

For those who thought NEXT TO NORMAL wouldn't have a life outside Broadway, well it's now playing in 4 cities, 9 different countries and has been translated into 6 languages.

Thanks so much for all of your feedback! Ended up getting row A on the R orchestra level...perhaps a little closer than I would have liked, but my daughter will be thrilled! Very excited to see this show! :)
