I saw her play the Bonnie Franklin role in APPLAUSE at The Equity Library Theatre in 1982 - She was fantastic! I always hoped she'd make it. So talented. May she triumph on Tony Night!
Sorry! How about this one?
(something like... "you are the bride!")
Apparently I am!

I thought the line was: "Who puts Olives in a Gibson" - I could be wrong, but I think thats it. Either way - she delivers it to perfection...along with the rest of the already wonderful quotes from the DC mouth.
If you havent caught it yet...check out the Playbill Interview with her at Playbill.com. The woman is my hero! LOVE HER!

I'm pretty sure it is, too. God, I love her.
Well, isn't there another line in the scene when they're asking Janet questions and the Drowsy Chaperone says "I have a question. Who thought it was a good idea to put an olive in my gimlet?!"
Isn't it something like that?
Yes, during the scene before "Show Off'
Another favorite:
"Did I miss something?'

^^^^ That IS my favorite!! I still actually laugh out loud thinking about it now, months after I saw it!
well maybe i heard her wrong but i thought she said Gimlit.
I love her.
Ridiculously talented and an awesome and funny human being. I saw her in "42nd Street", and got a picture with her in costume outside in the lobby. (It cost me 10 bucks I think, but it definately was worth it.) She's such an awesome person and an amazing actress.

She is so incredible! This the first time I've seen her (unfortunately!) but I am sure to catch whatever she's in from now on! She is so fantastic in Chaperone! I love her!
Isn't it a little early in the day to be drinking?
....... I don't understand the question...

I became a fan of Beth Leavel when Drowsy came here to Los Angeles for their pre-broadway run. And as much as I love Sutton, Beth was my favorite part of the show. I can't wait for the cd to come out so I can hear her sing "As We Stumble Along" over and over again! I can't wait till she wins the Tony!
Each year, I have a Broadway love/God/goddess. She was my goddess this year. What natural comic verve, what a voice, she. is. AMAZING. Fabulous-ness personified. What a natural, I could go on! This woman glows and sparkles and OWNS the stage. And she's a doll at the stage door, a nice little bonus!
