"Big Fish"

Hi all. Forgive me if I should have searched for a thread about the show when it was still running. But I would like to know- from those who saw it- what your thoughts were of "Big Fish" the musical? I never saw the production, but I recently downloaded the cast album and absolutely fell in love with the score- just gorgeous. What's weird is that when I watch clips of the show on YouTube, I find myself being less than impressed with what I'm seeing. Maybe it's just one of those times that I build up a show in my head with how I think it's staged according to the music I'm hearing and it is my own fault that it doesn't actually live up to that.

Anyway, what did you love, hate, etc. about the show? Thanks.
