Billy Elliot Cast Recording ?

So I was looking today and noticed that only 1 of the orginial Billy's actually performed on the cd. How did they decide on just one?

Really? It definitely sounds like there are several of them on "Electricity" if only because of the vastly different pronunciations of some words. Granted I just got it off iTunes, so I don't have a booklet to look through... Weird.

Yes, as far as I know Liam Mower was the "lead" Billy, the consensus best, and he did most of the appearances that involved only one Billy (although many involved all of them), as well as doing the vocals.

I may be totally wrong, but almost all the youtube clips of appearences are of him, and it sounds like the same kid on the soundtrack to me.

I certainly enjoy listening to this. I wish it nothing but success for it on Broadway It deserves it.

They recorded all Billys but eventually, they just picked one best Billy for the cast recording.

I've heard that there's one exception, which is that the vocal exclamations on Angry Dance are by George Maguire. He's the one I saw when I got to go to the show about a month after it opened, and he had a very open, refreshing personality. I have no doubt that Liam Mower was great, but George was wonderful too.

Liam Mower in person is PHENOMENAL. It is in my top three show experiences of all time, and I see shows a LOT. :) I can't wait for this to come next fall.

On "Electricity" there are at least two different pronunciations and accents going on with Billy. So I don't know... but it definitely does not sound like the same kid all the way through.

Well if you look at the notes in the booklet it always names Liam as providing the vocals for Billy on every song...

I don't have the booklet as I got it on itunes.

He must be since he totally changes his voice. LOL
