I would rather them film the show.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I actually like having two separate entities. they're different because film and stage are two very different media.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

Did anyone else notice that the only members of the cast NOT mentioned in the story are the three Billys? - Mamie

Actually I think that's perhaps just an oversight on the part of BWW. The original source doesn't mention any of the Broadway cast at all. The cast list in the BWW piece is -- can't think of the right word -- basically stock news that gets inserted in every BE on Broadway story.

Anyway, there wouldn't be much reason to mention any current actors playing "Billy" when talking about a new movie version that might happen off in the future since they would probably have outgrown the role by that time anyway.
