Billy Elliot encore - Bdwy & touring

Hi all,

I saw Billy Elliot in New York just before Christmas. During the curtain call, the whole cast did a dance number where everyone whore tutu's. It was a great end to a great show.

I just recently saw the Nat'l touring company in Toronto. Their crutain call was very brief with no dance number.

I was just wondering if this was something specific to the Bdwy company....and, perhaps, optional to other companies?

Just curious.

There is a dance number in Toronto- I think you saw it during one of the shows that was stopped because of technical issues. If this happens they have to cut the encore so they don't go into union overtime...
